Glass Art by a Newborn Mother

"Congratulations, it's a baby girl as you wished for .." these words from my gynae made me feel something I've never felt before ... extreme happiness.... literally put me into tears of joy.

Listen to the heart beat for the first time, feel her kick, first look during the scan ... all these made me so much eager to see our baby ... last few months were really testing time for my impatient behavior :) . One fine morning earlier this month, all these things culminated in the birth of our  child.

I am a responsible mother now ;) enjoying every bit of motherhood. Even though there are sleepless nights with burning eyes ... it is one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We ROCK Ladies  !!

Coming back to the intent of this blog, Here is my last glass painting, of size 20 x 24 inches. I don't think I will be able to spend time on art work for next 5 months, so off to a much needed break now :) see you after some time.. take care..

Touch of Silver..

Hello,

Going through one of the beautiful phases of my life ... even though physically exhausted, overwhelmed with joy. Life is really wonderful !

My energy level is quite low these days and here is the proof :) .. tried Chrysanthemum on canvas of size 15 X 22 inches. I know this is not my best, as I found it incredibly difficult to paint these days.

I don't want to waste more canvases and colors now :) planning to take a break of at least few months from oil colors.

Purple Dahlia..

Here is my latest oil color work on 15 X 22 inches canvas. I think I am becoming lazy these days, so happily preferred a simpler work :) Also purple is one of the favorite colors of my mother, so thought of using that. Hope you like it!..

Glass Painting - A Tiger ...

Hello Friends,

    Here is my latest experiment on glass - regular glass colors used on glass in a different way to avoid glass liners. But there are limitations in this method - in terms of availability of colors, its mixing and blending capacity, etc. So felt bit difficult to give realistic look on a glass with my limited experience. There are ample opportunities to find out the mistakes :)  By the way, I have used a glass of size 15 X 21 inches ... waiting for an appropriate frame.

Maternal Instinct

   Maternal Instinct - Some people say women are born with it and others say it’s something that kicks in at the birth of their child. Whatever may be the truth, this behavior does not have to be learned or practiced, but simply emerges. 

    Mothers are best judges of their child's wellness. They know when their child is hungry, bright and happy, healthy and when they are not well. Hats off to all mothers!!

   Here is my latest work, oil color on canvas of size 14 X 18 inches.. A mother is serving crunchy lunch to her kids :) .. hope you like it.

Colorful Clay Roses

Hello Friends,

  Just finished few roses, made out of Thai clay .. I had order for some Red roses (you know the reason), thought of doing some more for my collection as well.

  After few mistakes made earlier with clay flowers, I am more confident now. Hope you like these flowers !!

Golden Blossom

      Here I am sharing my recent work .."Golden Blossom".. oil color on canvas of size 15 X 22 inches. I took a photo reference and used very few colors here.. enjoyed the arrangement of the petals while painting..would like to paint more Dahlias in future.
